TAN Lenny Kravitz – New Frontiers

Day the words Lenny Kravitz and people automatically think music. After building up considerable success as a singer/songwriter/musician this talented chap is now braving the big screen. Judging from his first real outing odds are good he will be able to parlay that musical fan base into screen gold.
Wild, fun and talented come to mind when speaking of Lenny Kravitz. And like a typical New Yorker he’s never at a loss to speak his mind. Born in New York City on May 26, 1964 this hunk has mixed Russian/African ancestry. Ever a lady’s man our Lenny has a daughter from a previous marriage to Lisa Bonet and also dated the current wife of another little known actor, one Johnny Depp. Women for years have hung on every breath this musical dynamo has uttered often ranking him easily as one of the sexiest men out there – anywhere. Now this special creative force has turned his considerable talents to the silver screen.
Under the watchful gaze of no less than Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry Kravitz was chosen to play a pivotal role in the heart-wrenching Precious. Based on the hit novel Push by Sapphire this film treatment from Lionsgate Films has already garnered tons of oscar worthy praise. Not left unnoticed has been the small role in the movie that Kravitz has as a nurse. This really is his film debut despite doing some voice work on an earlier outing in The Rugrats Movie. Next up for our main man is a role in Novella, likely out next year.
Musically inclined from an early age this Jewish dynamo counts among his specialties unique twists on funk punk, rap and pop. Add to this list solid abilities as an actor and there’s really no telling how far Lenny will spread his talented wings – a good thing for us all.
