You deserve a chance to make the most of your life.

My name is Geoff Ayi-Bonte and I have been in the field of psychology for over 20 years. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor (psychotherapist) and personal & organizational transformation consultant, I offer advice and solutions to address and resolve challenges. Using innovative psychological principles, combined with my ability to “keep it real” and speak from the heart, I help people decrease their troubles and increase their enjoyment in life. For more information, you can go to my company website at www.newhistory.ca.

There are times in life when we all face challenges. These may occur at work, in our relationships, with our families, friends or with strangers. The point is that feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, afraid, exhausted, ashamed, less than, or angry, for example, is common to all of us at some point. The purpose of this column is to provide you with a place where you can ask anonymous questions and get support and feedback.

There’s something to be said about being wise and brave enough to reach out to someone for support. Our community deserves to be stronger and healthier. The drama that can weigh us down only serves to waste the precious time we have in life. Having someone who understands our history, our experiences and our perspectives is rare and very helpful. So feel free to reach out. You deserve a chance to make the most of your life.

So let’s make this column about our health, our happiness, our well-being, our desire to get the most out of life. There will be articles about mental health and how to improve it as well as feedback to your inquiries. You can submit your comments and questions to info@newhistory.ca. All questions are welcome. Keep in mind that there are only great questions. What you might be brave enough to ask is what someone else may be hesitant to talk about.

Until next month, be kind to yourselves and others.
