Wayde Compton, the Librarys seventh Writer in Residence, will read from some of his many awardwinning works and talk about his writing process. He is the author of two poetry collections, 49th Parallel Psalm and Performance Bond, the essay collection After Canaan, the editor of Bluesprint: Black British Columbian Literature and Orature and is published by Arsenal Pulp Press. Wayde is a founder of Commodore  Books and the Hogan’s Alley Memorial Project. He teaches English composition and literature at Emily
