Would we allow our bodies to be hooked up to a machine that feeds poison into our veins for any price? Yet emotionally and mentally we sometimes do.

Answering this question should empower us to make healthy changes, it comes down to “How much do you love you?”

In the area of fitness and health – we know what we need to do, but we’re so entangled in the cycle of a lazy lifestyle coupled with unhealthy and emotionally eating that may have resulted from a bad relationship that we sometimes lose the will to fight. Yet, we continue to live in a body that we don’t love, eat things that add to our personal pain, jeopardizes our health, and faintly encourage ourselves that we will start doing the right thing tomorrow. Tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone; all we

have is right now – today. Let’s not wait until we receive news from our doctor about our health before acting; make healthy changes now; we’ll be better for it.

We need unconditional support from the person that matters the most for our own personal development – that person is me, you.

As much as people care about us and love us, they can’t make changes for us. When we begin to implement change, we’ll find the support, strength and encouragement needed from others to help us keep moving forward proactively.

This year, I’m taking giant steps for change in the private side of my life that only a handful knows about, by being true to myself and honest with others.

Granted, sometimes it isn’t easy making changes, at times it can be difficult, but we must do it always with the end result in mind. Acknowledge the fear, the knot in the stomach, and the pounding of your heart in your shoes and do it anyways.

Making the decision to take healthy steps towards changes for your life, and following through with it could very well be one of the best things you could ever do for yourself. Granted you will not receive a response like President Obama did, but the personal rewards will resound for a lifetime and could very well be an encouragement to others. Evaluate your life, refuse to judge, and refuse negativity at every level and resolve today to make personal healthy changes, and remember no one else can do it but you. Trust me, you’ll be better for doing it.
