South American Ride for KEEF

Adventure cyclist Dr. Brenda Trenholme will talk about her 2022 bicycle tour across 6,000 km of South America, Buenos Aires to Chile and down to Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego on June 8 and 9 on the North Shore. Brenda will show slides and respond to questions, 7pm June 8 at West Vancouver Baptist Church, 450 Mathers Ave. W. Vancouver and again at 7pm Friday June 9 at North Lonsdale United Church, 3380 Lonsdale Ave. , North Vancouver. Admission is by donation, with proceeds to KEEF scholarships for bright, financially poor youth in Kenya, East Africa (www.kenyaeducation.org). “Those who have heard her talks about her previous cycling tours in Africa and Asia know that this will be a lively and interesting evening for anyone from teens to seniors”, said Shelagh Armour-Godbolt, KEEF volunteer.

KEEF – Kenya Education Endowment Fund – is an all-volunteer, registered charity based in BC. KEEF raises funds to provide scholarships to high school (not free there) and post-secondary studies in Kenya, E. Africa.  Join us, 7pm June 8 at W. Van. Baptist Church or 7pm June 9 at North Lonsdale United Church, N. Van.  to enjoy hearing about adventures, other cultures, and challenges cycling in South America and to support the education of youth in Africa.
