Vancouver, BC – SAGE Foundation will host AFRICANDO LIVRE ET ART SOIREE along with its Annual Fundraiser and Awards Presentation at The Bill Reid Gallery, 639 Hornby Street, Vancouver, BC at 2pm on Saturday, May 23, 2015.

This event will showcase the unbridled talents of African descent American and Canadian Artists.

Tecla Tawonezvi born and raised in Zimbabwe currently lives in Nashville,Tennessee‎ will unveil her life’s journey and narrate a portion of her book On the Highway of Holiness – Diary of my Pilgrimage of Faith.

Shirin S. Segran a 2014 High School Graduate from Heritage Woods Secondary in Port Moody, BC will share her wordsmith talents and inspiration and present her first and second 450 page novels Aegis Rising and Aegis Incursion.

Yared Nigussu an Ethiopian born Painter who studied art in his native Addis Ababa, moved to France and now lives in Vancouver. Yared will showcase a few of his inspired and colourful works of art‎.

MARIKA a Vancouver based and dynamic Gospel/Pop Music Artist with a few record albums and singles under her belt will entertain our ears with music from the heart.

Sarah K a rising Vancouver star RnB/Soul Music Artist who also has produced a few albums and singles‎ will showcase a few songs from her collection.

Jabulile Dladla Niemann a South African Singer/ Song ‎Writer formerly with Soweto Gospel Choir, now lives in West Vancouver and is stepping out into the solo music world will entertain our spirit with her newly composed songs.

These Authors and Artists will present us with a lively and spirited agenda and showcase their passion and purpose where art meets culture.
