When raising children or in this case, World Changers as this one Mother I know refers to her children; praise and encouragement is part of the journey. Praising children is most important and allows them to focus on their efforts and achievements. Praise that is specific and acknowledges the processes of completing an activity helps develop children’s learning and motivation.
A valued description of motivation is that it is the reason for people’s actions, desires, and needs. It is also one’s direction to behavior, or what causes a person to want to repeat a behavior. An individual is not necessarily motivated by another individual, it comes from within the individual.
A prime real-life example of praise, encouragement and motivation is currently underway at the 2018 LEO Awards event in Vancouver, BC. This 3-day event will recognize, award and celebrate the work and achievements of all who are attached to creating film and television productions. The LEO Awards is a project of the Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of British Columbia that Celebrates Excellence in British Columbia Film and Television since 1999.
