The 2010 Olympic Torch, carried by Rogers Communications CEO, Nadir Mohamed, enters Robson Square to chanting crowds.

Olympic fever hit Robson Square this morning as excited crowds gathered to welcome the Olympic torch for the 2010 Winter Games.

Premier Gordon Campbell greeted chanting crowds and was on hand to welcome the torch to GE Plaza, which was carried by Rogers Communications CEO, Nadir Mohamed. The Olympic flame was passed on to Vancouver Big Band legend Dal Richards.

The celebrated music legend then jumped on board a Zamboni and did a lap around the ice rink before leaving with the torch to the sound of a band playing.
