Toronto 125 – Boston 122
It was hard. It was very hard. It took double overtime but the Raptors got the job done and have forced a game 7. Kyle Lowry took the team on his back and played an awesome game from start to finish. He played 53 minutes, had 33 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and just wouldn’t quit. OG Anunoby gave his all again. He was fearless on defence, often playing Centre in place of Gasol or Ibaka. He also had 13 points and 13 rebounds and played 49 minutes.
Pascal who played 54 minutes continues to disappoint. You have to wonder what it would take for Coach Nurse to sit him down for some of those minutes. Tonight he shot 5 for 19 from the field, missed easy shots and was 0 for 5 from the 3-point line. Norm Powell came off the bench had 23 points and helped secure the win down the stretch with free throws and two threes. He could have played more than 38 minutes. Except for Matt Thomas (6 minutes, 2 points), the rest of the bench sat idle. This game should have been much easier but the season was saved. It’s going to take maximum effort from all players to advance to the Conference finals.
Boston again relied on Jaylen Brown (31), Jayson Tatum (29), Marcus Smart (23) and Daniel Theis (18)to keep the game close. They expected to close out the series and fell short so watch out for them to bring it to the Raps in their final game in this series. Game 7 is Friday at 9pm EST.
LA CLIPPERS 95 – DENVER NUGGETS 86
Kawhi Leonard had a double double, 30 points 11 rebounds and Montrezl Harrell was a force with 15 points as the Clippers increased their lead in the series to 3-1. Denver got 26 points from Nikola Jokic, 18 from Jamal Murray and 15 from Michael Porter Jr but a determined Clippers team had an answer for everything, doing just enough to get the win. The Nuggets will be facing elimination in Game 5 which takes place Friday at 6:30pm EST.
