Miss Teen Ontario World 2012 is 18-year-old Sacha Stewart who became the first Black teenager to hold the title. With a passion for helping others, she has already been Assistant Youth Choir Director and head of Generation Impact Youth Choir at the Kingdom Covenant Centre, Stage Manager and producer for Markham Youth Theatre and a leader in training for Ashton Meadows Sports Camps. She participated in mission trips to Uganda and Kenya with Heaven’s Rehearsal Charitable Organization. She says her application for the Miss Teen Ontario World was not something she planned but she now realizes that winning the title gives her the opportunity to show other youth that opportunities are there for those who want to express themselves in the arts as they explore their creative talents.
