“Alvin Witten’s Search for Churches: A Modern Pilgrimage”
According to Wikipedia, the word ‘history’ is described as inquiry, knowledge acquired by investigation, the systematic study and documentation of the human past and investigate their patterns of cause and effect.
For Alvin and Jean Witten, it was not only the case of investigating past undocumented history but also lent an opportunity to create their own ‘he’story’ when they answered the call to undertake an extraordinary task.
In his professional life, Alvin worked in the Training and Development Sector with a focus on Leadership Training in Cape Town South Africa. He was quite accustomed to travelling to other African countries namely Namibia, Zambia, Uganda, and Kenya. Additionally, Witten also served as a Spiritual Leader in the New Apostolic Church, South Africa where he spent many years facilitating Ministerial and Theological Training.
In a recent interview with Alvin Witten, he shared what the extraordinary task was which concluded with the writing and publication of a book called Searching for Churches, Five wild years in Mozambique.
