Humanity Drowning in the Absence of Leadership

Leadership, once a beacon, now flickers faintly in the vast storm of our times.
We are at a low point — not just in politics or policy, but in the soul of humanity.
And so I ask:
What are we teaching the next generation?
What example are we setting?
Once, as a young man, you could look up to someone —
a figure of inspiration,
charisma,
wisdom.
A leader whose presence shaped communities and echoed globally
as a guide, a reference point, a model of integrity and hope.
But now, look around —
Humanity is unraveling before our eyes.
Despite all our claims of progress,
our towers of wealth,
our digital genius —
We have failed to preserve something basic,
something sacred:
our shared human foundation.
At 3:03 AM, I wake and wonder:
Why are we behaving like distant, disconnected beings
as if intelligence has abandoned us?
What do we want from this Earth?
Who have we become?
Where does this hunger to destroy come from?
Has kindness become obsolete?
Is leadership now just a mirage,
a tool of distraction in a world addicted to spectacle?
The youth are watching.
They are not blind.
They are not deaf.
But they are confused, and they are frustrated.
What future are we carving out for them,
when all they see is division, power-hunger, and empty words?
We must remember:
There is only one civilization —
the human one.
Through the noise of centuries,
through wars and wonders,
we have always been one species
sharing one fragile home.
That truth is undeniable.
The question now is not whether we will lead —
but whether we will lead with integrity.
Because there is no other way.
No shortcut.
No alternative path.
The challenge is here.
Are we ready to rise?
