Romany Malco Upstart Upsets

Minted in the tropic island of Trinidad this Central American import has touched the funny bone of scores of fans. Though you may not know him by name you sure won’t be able to forget the memorable moments his diverse characters have thrust onto lucky audiences.
While Romany’s family hails from Trinidad he actually came into the world in Brooklyn, New York. Early on that urge to perform was in evidence as he gravitated to the mike at a young seven. Show business was in this budding star’s blood first taking hold in music. Rap became his ticket to fame as Romany formed a group and things took off when he arrived in Texas. His original group was called R.M.G. which changes its name to College Boy Z when the group moved to Los Angeles. Signed onto Virgin records the group’s first number one hit Victim of the Ghetto reached number one on the rap charts.
Charisma just oozes from every pore in this 5’8” hunk of a body. So impressed with his personality fellow actor urged him to try acting while on the set of The Pest. Poise and persistence paid off as today Romany is one of the most sought out actors out there. Those looking for a second banana can do no better than this gallant gent who always lights up the screen whenever he’s on stage.
Television audiences will likely recognize our man from the hit Weeds series. Keen movie goers surely remember work Romany has done on such crowd pleasers as The Tuxedo and the mega hit The 40 Year old Virgin. Next up for Romany is a scene stealing “enforcer” in the independent films Saint John of Las Vegas where he actually upstages leading man Steve Buscemi yet says very little. Body language and speaking tone mean everything in character driven movies and Romany’s take on his character here simply will bowy you over.
Fast, funny and at times furious Romany Malco is a solid talent who looks heading for leading man status any time soon. On screen or on radio or playing in your favourite i-podd Romany Malco is a man of many talents and lucky for us he excels at them all!
