By Len Chan  :  With the Anniversary of the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti, fundraisers and people wanting to help continues. On January 8th, St. Peters Anglican Church in Calgary held the first of two concerts with donations to UNICEF AND ANGLICANS PRIMATE WORLD RELIEF FUND. The performers were of different cultures, some returning from the original fundraisers.

We all know that with the outbreak of Cholera and the suffering of living in tent cities, whatever has been done, sometimes one family at a time, is progress in one way or another.

Although reconstruction is occurring amid political uncertainty, its hats off to those organizations such as Unicef  (www.unicef.ca) and Primates, (www.pwrdf.org)  that have made even a little headway, and to their many volunteers and helpers in Canada whose time and effort are making a difference.

St. Peter’s second concert was held Jan 28 with many of the same performers coming back.

With so many current disasters such as the second quake in Chile, floods in Australia, and Pakistan those of us who can contribute even $1-5can help. Every $1 donated adds up.
