Finely Sliced Red Apple & Ham Frisée Salad with Red Grape Wine Vinaigrette

hamfriseIngredients
1 head of Frisée lettuce
2 handfuls of mixed green lettuce
2 medium Red Delicious apples

4 thin slices of Black Forest Ham
8 small Cherry tomatoes
1 tea spoon of finely chopped shallot
1 tea spoon of finely chopped garlic
2 tea spoon of olive oil
Salt /pepper to taste
1 tea spoon of French mustard
1/2 tea spoon of pure honey (optional)
2 teaspoons of red grape wine vinegar

Romano shredded cheese

Method
In a food processor, blend the shallot, garlic, olive oil, salt and pepper, mustard, honey, red grape wine vinegar.

Slice the apples and the ham very thin. Arrange the apple slices on the serving plate. Lightly toss the lettuce leaves with the vinaigrette reserving some of the vinaigrette to dress the plate. Place the mixed greens and frisée lettuce on top of the apple slices. Add the finely sliced ham slices shaped into a rose onto the serving plate.

Sprinkle with shredded Romano cheese, drizzle the remaining vinaigrette on the plate.

Serves 2
