When I reflect on my life’s journey, I am amazed at how quickly the years went by. When we are young we never think that we will one day be the same age as our parents and grandparents. Perhaps we often wondered what we would be like when we reach this age of maturity; will we be just like our parents and grandparents or do we endeavor to not duplicate their lives and dismiss that which was placed into us as young children.
Sometimes the inherited traits we have are hard to tame. Changes to the mould we were brought up with are a constant work but it is necessary if we want to improve on and grow in confidence and respect and to fulfill all our hopes and aspirations.
In order to bring about change we have to be actively engaged. When we are engaged we become informed and sure footed. When we are sure footed we became brave and have courage to reach out and share our knowledge and experience with others. When we share our knowledge and experience we draw others who have the same intentions for their lives and the circle gets bigger and bigger. The saying ‘smile and the whole world smiles with you’ is very relevant in our time today as life becomes increasingly more difficult.
If we have a spirit of unity, a spirit of giving, caring, sharing, learning, experiencing then no matter what our lot in life is we will be able to endure until the very end!
‘If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself’ –Henry Ford
