Hollywood Profile
By Robert Waldman : Talk about being multi-talented Seattle born and raised Donnabella Mortel sure has it all. Smart, beautiful, athletic and energetic, this little young lady sure has it all. See her as a hot to trot reporter in Oliver Stone’s latest thriller Savages. Her story, however, is one of ultimate success.
One could say right from an early age Donnabella had stars in her eyes. Ever the ham, as a young girl she excelled in school and exhibited tom boy style doing all sorts of childish activities usually reserved for the boys. Building forts and playing with firecrackers were par for the course along with being the ultimate stage hog. Stints doing school musicals and runway shows met her fancy as she excelled at scholastics.
Upon completing high school at Seattle Preperatory this feisty upstart earned degrees in criminal justice and humanities at Seattle University. Blessed with great athletic ability she stunned onlookers through her prowess at cheerleading, easily getting noticed as a cheerleader for both the Seattle Supersonics and Seattle Seahawks. Law appealed to this classy lassy but after a time out working at a law firm it was off to fulfill more dreams in the acting mecca of the world: Los Angeles.
Casting directors sure must like this Seattle native as she can pass herself off as an Afro American, Philippino or Caribbean native as well as a Native American. And that sleek 5’1″ 112 pound frame has come in handy for a slew of athletic endeavours such as vollyeball, ice skating, martial arts, snow boarding, scuba diving, wind surfing, roller blading, jet skiing, etc. With an Alto voice this brown eyed girls can obviously fire them up on the dance floor being a top notch performer of Hip Hop, Square Dancing and jazz.
Parts on television’s House and films including Born Bad, Pillow Talk and Hood Rat will pave the way for more great things from the Pacific North West’s Donnabella Mortel, a multi-talented native from the evergreenn state that we should all be proud of!
