The Afro News VIFF Pick: Djon Africa.  (A Must See Film )

Coming soon to the Vancouver International Film Festival, between September 27 and October 12,  an exceptionally beautiful film featuring a young man Miguel Moreira from Portugal who is searching for his father who had been deported to  Cape Verde. The film shows the beauty of Cape Verde’s landscapes elegantly and captured the lovely landscapes of the island.  The contrast of  Miguel’s life in Portugal where he lived with the misconceptions and stereotyping  of an African living in Portugal.

His adventures in Cape Verde changed him and added warmth and humor to the film.

Embarking upon a search for his father  and to discover his true roots, he found new experiences and discovered unknown talents and abilities.
