By Robert Waldman : Paying your dues is something known to David Harris. Known far and wide as “Wood” a nickname he prefers to go by, this Chicago native son is poised for stardom and seems to be heading in the right direction
Smart men and women have gotten their act together. Wood Harris certainly has his priorities straight, being happily married to Rebekah and blessed with two daughter. Not bad for a man who learned his stock in trade at the world famous Tisch School of Arts in New York where he earned a degree. Like so many others Wood proved his abilities in live theatre appearing in plays by such stalwarts as American classic Tennessee Williams and British titan William Shakespeare.

Today audiences have the chance to see Harris in the new thriller: Dredd 3D Television fans may have caught this man’s imposing presence on such hit shows as Hawaii Five-O, NYPD Blue, Oz, Cosby, The Twilight Zone and House. All of these shows appeal to different entertainment enthusiasts which easily fit with Mr. Harris’ natural abilities.

Big screen movies that have fallen into this Chicago native’s resume include The Siege, Remember the Titans and his first film, Above The Rim. And it seems music is on this man’s horizons while he has received rave reviews for another starring take as a regular on The Wire of television fame.

Any way you slice it you can expect more good things to come from Wood Harris, a man well on his way to entertainment success.
