They say timing is everything. Whether it’s meeting the right guy/girl, getting the right job – or whatever. Musicians know the importance of being precise and timing. Hats off to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra for continuing their “pops” series. Hot on the heels of a new James Bond movie Canada’s favourite musicians go all out with their salute to 007. Movie fans and music lovers are in for a real reel treat.

Supporters of Afro American artists are in for a real treat as the true star if this evening is singing sensation Capathia Jones. Easily in the league of Dame Shirley Bassey, Ms. Diana Ross or baba herself Barbara Streisand an opportunity to hear this Dynamo diva in concert live is simply not to be missed out on,

Save the date. Mark your calendars for Friday Nov. 27 and Saturday Nov. 28. Be prepared to be swept off your feet and into the realm of high octane fun as our stellar musical corp joins forces with a master conductor and some sizzling singing sensations to entrance audiences with their renditions of classic film themes from the most popular films in history.

Continuing his growing presence with the VSO guest conductor John Morris Russell will definitely have you tapping your feet and humming along as musical espionage classics get full coverage in this once in a lifetime concert. Blessed with the presence of guest vocalists Capathia Jenkins and Jeremy Kushnier all eras of famous Bond films will be fully fleshed out. Original hits from the classic Sean Connery era fully epitomize the swinging 60s with such tunes as Thunderball, the James Bond Theme and John F. kennedy’s favourite From Russia With Love. Going more modern with songs from the Roger Moore timespan and pop hits there will be something for everyone at this two hour blockbuster concert.

Having had the opportunity to attend another 007 concert extravaganza put on by the VSO a few years back I couldn’t help but notice how into the crowd was as they got into the act. And Ms. Capathia’s tribute to Skyfall was easily as good as Adele’s. Come as you are but don’t be surprised to see some dudes decked out in tuxes and the ladies dressed to the nines in High heels and killer dresses. Be relaxed, come casual or dress to impress.

But you can bet on one thing for sure: this 2015 fall concert will sizzle and is bound to leave you both shaken and stirred
