By Len Chan: The Calgary International Reggae Festival was held recently at Shaw Millennium Park
featuring local, Canadian and International Reggae Performers. The Headliner this year was the legendary band Third World.

ReggaeFest began as a dream in 2003 and continues to be a favourite festival for many Reggae Stars, many of them making return appearances over the years.. This year I am featuring Vancouver-based Buckman Coe. This was the band’s first time attending Reggae Fest and the audience was appreciative of their blend of Reggae. Every group has their niche sound, stage style and that sound from their main singers that create a euphoric sound that the audience identifies with. Buckman Coe’s performance was such and those seeing them for the first time were impressed. Other notable performers included Belinda Brady, Long Shen Dao from China, Exco Levi and Raging Fyah and many more too numerous to mention.
