Jeudi dernier le 17 avril, Éducacentre a célébré le premier anniversaire du programme ELSA au Collège. Pour cet événement, les étudiants ELSA ont préparé des mets traditionnels de leur pays à partager avec les étudiants et le personnel, ainsi qu’avec divers amis d’Éducacentre qui se sont joints à nous pour souligner cet événement. ELSA (English Language Services for Adults) est un programme d’apprentissage de l’anglais pour les immigrants, et vise à faciliter leur intégration dans leur ville adoptive. Le programme est financé par le gouvernement de la C.-B. (Immigration Integration Branch) et les cours sont offerts gratuitement aux immigrants qui ont le statut de résidents permanents.
Thursday April 17th, Educacentre celebrated ELSA’s first anniversary at the College. For this event, students prepared special dishes from their country of origin to share with other students and staff, and with friends and supporters who kindly joined us for the occasion. ELSA (English Language Services for Adults) is a program that aims at facilitating the integration of new immigrants in Vancouver. Financed by the Settlement and Multiculturalism Branch of the Ministry of Attorney General, ELSA is provided at no charge to immigrants who are permanent residents.
