Black History Month Commemoration was part of The City of Vancouver’s events and activities today with a Proclamation read at a crowded City Hall by Mayor Gregor Robertson. Tribute was given to the many Historians of African origin who contributed to Canada’s legacy and to our very own City of Vancouver! A few notable citizens were awarded for their work in the community and amongst them a tribute to the Honourable Supreme Court Judge Selwyn Romilli. The greatest honour however was awarded to the one and only Rolihala Nelson Mandela with the unveiling of a new Canada Post Stamp 2015. The pride of Southern Africa lives on and is now part of our History also here in the Northern part of the America’s!
