NCBAC in conjunction with the local organization the Barbados Cultural Association of British Columbia (BCABC) will be celebrating its 26th anniversary in Burnaby, British Columbia, May 21st – 24th, 2009. The weekend of activities, includes workshops, a culture show and our grand gala banquet and ball at the Hilton Vancouver Metro Town Hotel. The guest speaker at the banquet is the Honorable David Thompson, Prime Minister of Barbados.

This year’s theme is: “Barbadians Contributions to the Canadian Experience”. We will celebrate the lives of two notable Barbadians who lived in British Columbia. Joe Fortes (1865-1922) and Colonel Richard Moody (1813-1887).
