The need for a quick escape from the hustle and bustle of work and life in the city in conjunction with celebrating a birthday in a place that offers tranquility and renewal of one’s spirit gives rise to this review of a new haven that was discovered in Creekside, an area just minutes from Whistler Village, BC.

After researching the many hotels and amenities in the surrounding area, I stumbled upon a little gem in the woods, Nita Lake Lodge which afforded the opportunity of tranquility and to breathe the fresh alpine air, slow down and listen to the whispers of nature, clear the mind and sink into the timeless elegance of Whistler’s finest and most exclusive boutique hotel.

This luxury 77 room boutique hotel is nestled just steps from the base of Whistler Mountain a short 120 km/75 miles north of Vancouver, on the quiet shores of Nita Lake. Unique in character, there are a number of exceptional amenities and services that make Nita Lake Lodge a highly unique experience. Its’ lakeside location, convenient proximity to the Mountaineer train station, and retro-themed restaurant are just a few of the distinctive features.

The hotel restaurant, Jordan’s Crossing a reminiscent of the first class railway cars of yesteryear offers a fine dining experience which compliments the ambience of the restaurant setting and the view of the lake. A well plated 3 course meal with wine pairings is one option of many choices on the menu that is available at extremely reasonable prices.

From the time contact was made with the Reservation Agent on the telephone until the day after returning home, the hospitable customer service and follow-up from the Desk Agents, Restaurant Personnel and the General Manager was outstanding. This mini getaway was a truly memorable and remarkable experience and I encourage you to go and discover Nita Lake Lodge. For more information go to www.nitalakelodge.com
