The Afro News is proud to announce: Burnaby’s very own, 8 year old Sumie Francois won the Junior World Golf Championship for her age category at the Junior World Golf Tournament that took place at the Sycuan Resort in San Diego, California. 100 countries were represented at this tournament. Francois posted scores of 58, 58 and 66 (+8) on the par 58 golf course. This is a second time win for her, she won the championship title in 2007 at the Little People’s Pepsi Golf Tournament. Way to go Sumie!!
