Vancouver, BC – The Fair at the PNE, one of BC’s most beloved summer traditions, is hiring 1,500 seasonal employees for its 17-day run from August 22 to September 7. Featuring exciting nightly musical entertainment, hundreds of shows and attractions, thrilling rides, and lots of family fun, the Fair is not only a great place to visit, it’s a great place to work!

The Fair is looking for positive, energetic people who enjoy working in a fun, safe and challenging environment. More than 40 job categories, ranging from barn hands to bartenders to guest services personnel are waiting to be filled. The Fair employs high school and post-secondary students, adults and seniors and anyone else aged 15 years and older, with several categories for applicants aged 19 or older.

The Fair is the perfect ‘first job’ in that it provides exceptional training and customer service skills that will be of great value now and into the future.

“The PNE has a tradition of being a first job employer for generations of British Columbians,” says the PNE’s Vice President of Human Resources, Jeff Strickland. “Unlike most employers, the PNE doesn’t require job experience to get job experience, if you have a good attitude and a willingness to work, we will find the right job within our organization and provide the training for the applicant.”

Wages range from $9.66 – $15.30 per hour and vary depending on the department and the skills and abilities required by the job. View wages for each position and apply online at www.pne.ca. Deadline for applications is Saturday, June 20.
